FAQ

Insurance and pricing questions.

Do you accept my insurance?

Allara is in-network with several major insurance providers in some states, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliated plans, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare affiliated plans, and GEHA. Coverage depends on your individual plan and where you live.

Check my coverage
How do I know if my specific plan is covered?

During onboarding, we can confirm whether we're in-network with your insurance plan. However, we're not able to verify your specific benefits — like your copay amount or deductible status — until your insurance processes a claim. If you'd like a clearer picture of your costs before booking, we recommend calling the member services number on your insurance card and asking about coverage for the following: Specialist visits: CPT codes 99204 (new patient) or 99214 (established patient) Registered Dietitian visits: CPT codes 97802 (new patient) or 97803 (established patient). You can also review your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance provider for details on your plan's coverage.

Do I need to call my insurance company?

It depends what you'd like to know. Our coverage check looks up your plan for you. If you want more detail on your exact benefits, like your deductible, you can call the member services number on your insurance card and speak to someone who can explain your insurance coverage.

Does insurance mean my care is free?

Not always. Depending on your plan, you may still owe a copay, coinsurance, or costs that count toward your deductible. When Allara is in-network with your insurance, we submit claims on your behalf. Once your insurance processes the claim and determines what you owe (copays, coinsurance, or deductible amounts), we'll charge your card on file for any remaining balance. Your insurance plan determines your costs, so the best way to understand your coverage upfront is to contact your insurance directly or check your membership card for your copay amounts.

What if Allara is out-of-network for me?

You can still join through our self-pay Complete Care membership for $149 a month.
