I love everything about this platform and the practitioner I am seeing! The app is great and easy to use, and everything from labs, imaging and pharmacy has run pretty seamlessly. My practitioner has been fantastic and understanding my symptoms and helping me figure out next steps to feeling better. I have multiple diagnoses, and I am getting help to figure out what supplements and prescriptions will help me feel more normal in my body.

Really appreciate the support and help I receive from the providers! They’re helping my navigate my weight loss and life style journey as a women on GLP-1s and they diagnosed me with insulin resistance, after years of weight loss issues combined with my PCOS.

The providers are amazing! I genuinely look forward to my connections with them. Sharon, my nutritionist, is very easy to talk with and helps me to set attainable goals. I am seeing improvements with how I feel, sleep, and my weight loss goals. I have also received great care from Arianna Burton, my doctor with Allara. She took the time to go over all of my lab work, listen to my concerns, and create a care plan for me...

Frequently Asked Questions

Visit our FAQ page
Does Allara always prescribe medication?

No. Every patient collaborates with their medical provider to decide what, if any, medications are the right fit for their care plan. Some patients choose to take a prescription-free route, focusing instead on improving lab values with the medical team and focusing on nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle changes with their Registered Dietitian.

Where do I get my prescriptions filled?

Allara providers will electronically send your prescriptions directly to your preferred local pharmacy or a mail-order pharmacy of your choice. Allara’s custom prescriptions are available to be shipped via Allara Rx directly to your door (no membership fee added for insurance patients).

How long will it take my prescriptions to get filled or shipped?

For custom formulations processing and shipping typically takes 3–7 business days once payment is accepted. You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order is on its way.

Are my prescription medications covered by insurance?

While Allara accepts major insurance for your medical visits and Registered Dietitian care (see if you’re eligible), the cost of the actual medication depends on your specific pharmacy benefit plan. Your pharmacy will bill your insurance directly for the medications. If a specific drug is not covered, you also have the option to pay out-of-pocket.

What if I am already taking medications prescribed by another doctor?

During your initial comprehensive medical visit, your Allara provider will review your complete health history, including any current prescription medications or over-the-counter supplements. Your provider will check for potential drug interactions and work to safely integrate your current regimen into your new care plan.

Can I just get a prescription without the lifestyle coaching?

At Allara we utilize a "whole-body" care model. We believe medical treatment should include continuous support from a Registered Dietitian, but is not mandatory to continue care with Allara.
